For this lesson we were assigned into groups of 3 to work on our own adventure text stories, using inspiration from iconic books and games such as "The Adventures of You" and "Dragon's Lair".
Before we got started on our own projects it was essential to learn the terminology of these different interactivities so we could help communicate in our groups what type of interaction would be better for our story in a certain situation. This involved us saying terminology such as "active" and "passive" interactions.
We also needed to make ourselves aware of flow charts and how they would play an important part when using the software to create these stories. This was where we started getting introduced to coding by using IF, ELSE and THEN functions which during the creation of the story began to be quite confusing and challenging to work with.
In the end we managed to "finish" our own story: 'Somber Forest' which was incredibly fun for us to generate our own ideas and share them between each other, it definitely relaxed the stress of coding and planning and turned it into something more personal and enjoyable.
