LOGLINE
An arachnophobic bat stumbles into an eerie spider-infested forest.
SYNOPSIS
A bat is looking for the crystals that are marked on his treasure map, but he discovers that in order to progress to his destination he must traverse through a dark, arachnid forest. As he creeps his way into the forest, he is surrounded by creepy crawlies watching over him. However, he soon realises that there is something much larger lurking in his shadows. Will he be able to overcome his fears?

DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
The concept of arachnophobia in the real world has always intrigued me: even as someone who is arachnophobic, I still couldn’t put my finger on why exactly spiders frighten me more than any other type of species. That being said, I believe spiders are fascinating creatures and their negative implications in the limelight of media has always been something that’s irked me. For this film, I wanted to break that stereotype and tell a story that reveals how spiders can be misunderstood from their intimidating appearance and truly show how caring they can be when they are in contact with someone vulnerable. I don’t expect this story to change the fear arachnids bring to us, however I would like to shine a different perspective towards them and prove that they are not as threatening as we make them out to be.
