In my opinion, animation is the core media which breaks us out of reality and opens a limitless playground for us to give life to these characters and scenes. There are no restrictions to what can be done, the fact that there’s an endless amount of stories which can be created with many different character tropes means it gives us full freedom to portray what we want in our animation without anything holding us back.

Although stories and characters can be created in live action just as accurately, it doesn’t convey techniques which are specific to animation only such as over-exaggerated body movements and emotions. Even nowadays most live action films will have some form of CGI to support the theming of the scene better, as well as it being cheaper and looking much more realistic than using props built with physical materials.
