After learning the 12 principles of animation in our first lesson we began to start focusing on each individual principle and try to create them in Maya.

Our first task was to move a car from left to right using the easing principle; because Maya already gives us the easing effect automatically it meant that this animation was a lot easier than it should've been. However, still learning about the graph editor that lesson and how it works was still effective for learning how to animate anticipation.

Animating anticipation was a step up to easing, however I personally found the task simple and enjoyable. To create the anticipated movement I incorporated the movement of easing, but instead of making the object go forward straight away I made it go backwards then forwards to show the viewer that the object is preparing itself to go that direction. I also added an ease back at the end of the animation to include the follow through principle which describes the law of physics in moving objects and characters.
