During this lesson we move away from different story structures and start focusing on different archetypes for characters in which we can use to help develop these stories. Although a lot of what got taught this lesson was something I already had to my knowledge, there was still a few pointers which I wanted to note down as they were quite helpful.

The first interesting point is how by using shapes you are able to create different character archetypes, for example: by using circles you are able to create cute characters, by using squares you are able to create bulky characters and by using triangles you can create more evil and sinister characters. These however are incredibly stereotyped for the shape and you can in fact make any archetype with these shapes but nevertheless it was very inspirational and something important to keep in mind.

For our task we were assigned to draw a character sketch by using 3 different words in the chat, as well as the knowledge we got from the lesson. From what I mentioned about shapes, I wanted to create an evil fox character so for this design I decided to focus more on triangles, however I still wanted some circular motion as I wanted him to be quite cute at the same time and this was the result that came out:

Personally I really love his design and I think it came out really good because of how much I focused on his shapes and his key words.
